Finished SISTERS Angels Painting for my Birthday

Well, I kinda worked on this off and on today.....and finally finished. This was painted on a 10x10 Oak Wood Board so it ran off my scanner, but at least you can see what it looks like. I think this could possibly be 2 SISTER ANGELS....haven't decided yet. Do you think?

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY! YEAH.....notice I didn't say which one? I want my whole day to be filled with nothing but fun.....any suggestions? Of course my MAIN thrill will be spent later in the day with my Daughter and my 3 precious GRANDsons. Sadly I won't be with my Son because he lives in Charleston, SC but he sent me an EGram 1st thing this a.m. , so that made me very happy. I painted myself a pin to wear all day for fun....seeee, I'm a KIDDER [& just a kid at heart].

Also, I have started a large painting of my favorite things to paint....this is the rough draft and hopefully if I finish today I will add the finished one. But here's what I have so far.

I will close with a great Birthday saying....Some people no matter how old they get, never lose their beauty; they merely move it from their faces to their hearts.

POLKA DOT PRINCESS

I have always adored the fabric dotted swiss and so when I put this little dotted swiss dress on her, I remembered seeing "Polka Dot Princess" so then I knew she would have to become a Princess....she resides this a.m. in her own little place on Etsy. Even though her little Kitty has a gold locket around it's neck, I may decide to paint it to match her hair ribbons....I just can't seem to leave things alone! Oh well......

Added a new painting in my Etsy shop today. Looks like "Fritz" or "Fritzie" whichever sex you'd like it to be....is a little perturbed because his owner won't let him get that little songbird in the tree. All she wants to do is listen to the little Songbird sing the sounds of Summer. Oh well.

An Angel and her Kitty

Today was my day of discontentment.....I changed this painting because frankly the more I looked at it the more it bothered me.....soooo, I totally changed it. Now I'm pleased with it.

New Painting ME AND TABBY TOO

For all you little Tabby Lovers.....It's so gloomy out today....we've had so much darn rain I decided to perk myself up. She turned out a little more serious than I intended but I think Little Tabby Too is a hoot. Even though I've never owned cats, I've always loved painting them. I had 2 little Poms that were just my heart and when they had to be put down 3 yrs ago it totally devastated me. But I'm around cats all the time since my friends all have them and have always found them totally facinating! These two reside presently at my Etsy Shop. Well, well, surprise, surprise.....she is SOLD...wow, I'm excited....THANKS SO MUCH!

HOPE FAIRY

Today what started out to be a little Fairy holding a kitten sort of evolved into this.....don't know why. I love butterflies and I think they signify HOPE or new journeys. Also, I kept thinking "Hope Gives You Wings"....then I knew what I would paint. We all have hope for something whether it be hope for our destiny, our health, or our future journeys. This turned out to be a far cry from holding a kitten don't you think? I'm really enjoying this experimenting with textures, colors and mediums...so much fun.

LIL' BIT LOVEE

This is the little 2 inch doll I just finished and this is how she looks along side of my 3 inch dolls. This was really challenging but fun. They will both reside at my Etsy shop until they are one day adopted.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG

Today I just simply had to do a doll.....don't know why, but it just seemed to happen. This one I named after my great friend and cousin Suzanne. From time to time, we call each other SuziBelle and BonneBelle.

BABUSHKA

Ok, today is another day....can you tell I like variety? I can't help it, I just don't like to stick to any one thing....it's a curse in a way. I think that kinda runs with creativity though, don't you think? I kinda sank back into my doll making but today I experimented with beading....this little doll was time consuming but oh so worth it....I loved creating her.

This morning I decided I would satisfy my craving for sweets by painting this LIL' CUPCAKE FAIRY....I was very pleased with it, but found when I finished I was craving a cupcake even more....sooooo you know the rest LOL! At any rate I need to stay away from painting sweets for a few days anyway. This all started the other day when I painted my little canvas that said, "Sometimes you just NEED a cookie" because I was craving animal cookies. Oh well....She sold on Etsy I'm happy to say, but Yep, I'm still craving sweets, darn it! Right below it is is my cookie canvas.....too, see what I mean?

PONDERING

Well, I decided to put away my little dollies for a bit and get back to my Canvas painting. I did this one this morning and decided to name her "PONDERING". She is now on Etsy. It felt really good to get back to a little serious side of me I tuck away ever so often. Today I decided she needed longer hair....this is what's great about art!

My New ....."LITTLEST ANGEL LOVEE"

I have just finished my newest "Lovee" Art Doll.... "THE LITTLEST ANGEL LOVEE" She is a mere 6 inches tall. She has just been added to my Etsy Shop. I have mounted her on a wood stand. She can be removed from her stand. Very time consuming but I loved every minute of it. She is had done from start to finish. This is a soft sculpted doll that I have hand painted and adorned with vintage fabrics and tulle. She was such a joy to create....so serene and beautiful in person...lots of sparkle.

CUTIE-PATOOTIE

Well, without knowing it, Jane DeRosier gave me the idea for this name. She named one of my other dolls and I thought oh my, that sure fits this one I just finished. I am tired now and am through for the day.....just had to do this one more while my creative juices were flowing.

I have 2 new dolls I just finished....here's Little Mammy Blackbird.. I totally hand sculpted her as a challenge to myself. One of my clients had asked me if I could do a Mammy. Being from the South I was always taught to respect all colors and races of people, so I did this with all due respect. Plus the fact that I grew up loving the classic, "Gone With The Wind" and like most of us just fell in love with "Mammy". So, I did a Mammy doll and here are the results.
Below is my little Miss Springtime doll....she is made of wood.

Ok, now I truly have the Doll thingie bug! I just finished her and want to call her "Little Rachel Riding Hood" Lovee. I hate conformity and she just looks too mature to me to call her "Little Red Riding Hood" Do ya'll think I'm right. I would love you as artists to give me your input. Since I sold all my other dolls I thought I would try my luck again.....I haven't been too lucky with Ebay lately, but I may give it another try tonight. Then again, I may just run her on Etsy....today also seems to be my day of uncertainties.

TA DAH!!!! Here she is.....wow, thought I'd never get her ready to go on the block, LOL. I just had to work on her slowly because I wanted just the right touches. At any rate, probably the most fun thing I've created so far....see what you think. I just wish I could show you in person how much she sparkles. I sprinkled little Sav. crystals all over her tulle tutu! Truly a little "Swan Lake". You can find her starring on My Etsy.

Just finished my little Valentine Swap "Happy" with my PWGL friends. It was really hard to mail this one out....I sure wanted to keep her.....lots of SPARKLE! I sure hope she likes it. PLUS, I wish I had taken a better photo before I mailed it out LOL! Hope everyone is having a great day!

I found this Vintage fabric and my sister made this up for me....I knew what shape I wanted, next I cut a circle out of canvas and painted her. I was pleased with her expression....I never know til I finish painting.

Anyways, this was my addition to Etsy this morning.

Today I created my Lovee Sachets....I had so much fun creating this little girl, words escape me! At any rate, now, I have several in the makings so I'm curious to see what you think. It's a little piece of art, filled with wonderful sachet. I am going to change the hanger so it can be hung on doors, dresser knobs, closets, or anyplace else. Still working frantically on my little MINI LOVEES.....I'm finishing an angel and a ballerina at the moment. Thanks for stopping by....would love your input.

Finally got 2 new little Lovees ready to put on Ebay today. You can see them if you feed in PWGL...my art group at Ebay. I did lots of added things to these....hand sculpted their little props and on the one with the blue bird I even made her collar and cuffs and buttons out of clay...oh, and her heart berrette. I cannot tell you how much fun I had today. Now I'm trying to finish my angels.....These 2 just sold and are journeying to new homes....YEAH.......

I'm happy to say my Angel sold yesterday so I thought I'd run another one today. Of course a song I used to sing prompted this one.

Also, I am so happy my very 1st soft sculptured Angel sold too, so I did this one this morning. Hope you'll leave a comment....I'm curious.

I am so flattered except I'm not sure what to do about it LOL! At any rate, I will try my best to do this.OK....6 random things about myself.

1. Even though I've retired from music [was a singer with our Orchestra for 35 years, I absolutely ADORE to sing. The only thing I adore more, is painting and thank goodness, it knows no age! Hence my name Bonnesinger....my real name is Bonnie Barrasso

2. I have 2 children, a daughter and a son and my daughter has given us
3 beautiful GRANDsons. Next to my children, they are the true light of my life...to them I'm known as "Mimsy".

3. I am a very fit Grandmom....I've been an avid walker and aerobics nut for the past 20 yrs., otherwise I could have never kept the pace of my life.

4. I have alway, all my life, been obsessed with painting faces....with the focus on eyes. It doesn't matter what subject....people, animals, whatever....just love it.

5. I have a part time job at a women's Dress shop called J.Jill. I absolutely adore the girls I work with....they are truly my 2nd Family.

6. OK....wow, #6....this is easier than I thought. OK, big dark secret....I have a truly illegal sweet tooth. OMG, I just really love sweets but just can't allow myself to indulge. However, during the Holidays, I did put away my share of goodies and am now paying for it, unfortunately, so I am really cutting down. Hey, I'll be right back, gotta go grab another Brownie....I WISH!!!!, just kidding.OK, there you have it....
