WITCHY WOMAN...my Halloween Mixed Media Clay Paining

I created this painting using layers of vintage papers, and cut her out of grunge board. I also hand sculpted her pumpkin, crow and kitty, which are suspended from a small hemp string. She is residing in my Etsy Shop and is for sale, of course.

My Latest Lil' DREAM LovLie SOLD

This is my newest Lil' LovLie titled Dream. She was lots of fun for me to create. Only problem was, the more I looked at her little face, the more I found myself of DREAMING of places to see, things I want to be, and on and on. She's kinda addictive like that. Oh well.

I am finding I could really get into this clay sculpting thing....I had sooo much fun creating this little miss, however, I must admit the creative juices MUST be flowing! At any rate, drumroll please...here she is. I'm very proud of her, and I truthfully say this with all humility. Enough said...judge for yourself. And P.S. she is made of wood and hand sculpted clay. I just wish you could see her in person.

I finally painted today and had so much fun with this one... I've just been too busy lately to get my creative juices flowing. Artists definitely know what I mean. At any rate, I am trying my hand at the little craze of "big eyed folk art girls"....I owe any influence to Willowing and Suzi Blu. They're just plain fun to paint! She is residing in my Etsy shop at the moment.

This morning I finished painting this little Folk Art Girl...I don't know how I'm going to do the background yet....maybe some strange idea will pop into my head, but at least it's a start.

Well, I don't know too much about all these little "big eyed" cuties, except that this new group of wonderful artists at Suzi Blu's Academy is so very much fun and I am totally enjoying myself....it's always inspiring to try new art and since I've always loved painting eyes and the innocence of sweet girl faces, this is a new challenge for me. Sorry to be rambling on but here are two of my latest Etsy Shop additions. I would love to hear your comments on them.

AT LONG LAST....Today I finally finished a new canvas....seems like forever. I cannot tell you how much joy it brought to me. I got tired of looking at my bazillion sketches and decided to just finally sit myself down and paint one of them. I am sooo glad I did.

MY SAVING GRACE... New Painting, trying to get over a huge setback

Hi everyone....after much frustration, mental anguish, and what have you....today, was actually my first day to pick up my paintbrush and I must say the joy was still there. Soooo, here she is, my little saving grace...my Serenity Angel.

New Year Computer Crash

Well as most of you know, I try to keep currant on my blog. HOWEVER....the most horrifying thing has hit me the past few months. After many frustration moments with my computer, I finally got the big "C" word dumped on me. "COMPUTER CRASH". First time in 15 years, and all because of a stupid mistake on my part. BEWARE....when you get what looks like a legit error message saying download anti-spyware to avoid the detected virus on your computer!!!! Well, I did it, I'm ashamed to admit because I thought I was way too smart and too on guard for this to happen. Now, I not only had to have a new hard drive, I think all my years of saved "pictures and artwork" are lost. PLEASE SAY A PRAYER FOR ME THAT SOME OF THIS CAN BE RETREIVED! At any rate and let this be a warning for all of you.....PLEASE get BACK UP DISCS of everything on your computer. I can't believe I was this stupid! But now, I'm faced with basically starting over and can't seem to get motivated back into my art. Maybe in the coming days, I sincerely HOPE!
